Duck Hunting gets a blue ribbon!

Woohoo...! Tonight at the DPPA meeting, "Duck Hunting" took first place in the portrait category!! That's a first for me, and it was pretty exciting. :)

"Duck Hunting"

It's PPA competition time, so it's time to bring out the 4 images from the year that might have the best chance of gaining merits. (The merits go towards a Masters of Photography.) So far I've selected this one, my baby Cooper - I've titled it "Duck Hunting" :)

Red light blogging

Just for you Steph! Yes...I'm at a red light... :) Just coming back from a HS swim meet. My friend Heidi's son was racing in the championship for Richardson HS, and asked me to come shoot him. I've actually never been to a swim meet before! If I was, I was too young to remember...I seem to recall my bro was on the swim team, but I have no memory of watching him compete.

It was pretty cool...those kids are some hard workers! I hadn't thought about those HS team days in a while...getting out of school early for away games, getting the "right" seat on the bus, homework and munchies on the way there, then loud music & craziness on the way home. The competitions were mostly spent waiting around...which I saw a lot of today. Brought back some neat memories! I'll post a few photos later. :)

Test post from my email.

Well, that's just stinking cool! I can post a blog entry from my phone?? Wow, if you though I was A.D.D. before...just wait until my next long traffic light... ;)

These are some of the photos from my old blog, from 2007

My move to blogger!

Well, here we are at a new home! I tried to see if I could import the old posts from my xanga blog, but no luck so far. So it's ok, it's a new year, guess it's time to start fresh! Just a quick little recap of some of last year's photos, so I can test the new blog's posting capabilities:
