Need your help! WFAA A-List "Best Pet Photographer"

We're Competing badgeI've been encouraged to throw my hat in the ring for WFAA's A-List: Best Pet Photography. But I'm going to need your help!! If you're a fan of my pet photography, would you please help me by casting a vote?

Just click the BIG YELLOW BUTTON! >>>>>>>

It only takes a moment and it would mean a lot to me. If you'll post it on your facebook or ask friends to vote too, that would be amazing. I might even come up with a way to celebrate if I win, that would benefit all of those who voted for me, so be sure and let me know if you voted for me! :D

The Youngbloods celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary

Terry and Carol Youngblood are 2 of my all time favorite people on Earth. I had the pleasure of photographing them in honor of their 50th wedding anniversary, and we had a wonderful time. These two have a relationship them that all couples want, but very few are blessed with. Why? I think it's because their unique bond is not something you "get." Rather, it's something that they GIVE and have given, with absolute commitment. These two give each other unselfish love and respect, all founded on their life-guiding faith in the Lord.

When I grow up, I want to be just like Terry & Carol. Love you guys, I'm so sorry that I couldn't attend your dinner, but I hope to see you very soon.

No bull, dawg!!

I had the pleasure of photographing one of the most stunning bulldogs I've ever seen. Beautiful but tough looking - I sure wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley! But he's all sweetheart...

Harley is a bonafide "junkyard dog" who I spotted while scoping out a local salvage yard for a potential spot to shoot. While I didn't find it to be a great location to get grungy w/ seniors, I was thrilled to see Harley, curled up at his owner's feet in the office. There was no way I was going to pass by this beautiful brindle English Bulldog without inviting his owner Monique to my studio!

And as we know, timing is everything. Harley made the perfect subject for my front cover concept for the Thanksgiving issue of "City and Country Pets" magazine! It'll hit the stands on November 1, watch for it, it's free. (Incidentally, I had no idea that I could find these turkey legs at WalMart, a big greasy THANK YOU to Jim Basford for clueing me in, after a day long hunt!!)

Starting fresh!

Well it's been quite some time since I blogged! (ya think?)

So rather than delay blogging until I get the new blog in place and have it all nice and pretty, I'm just going to jump in and iron out those details as I go along. I'll "relaunch" when the time comes, so we'll have something to look forward to!

Let's catch up a bit on some recent sessions that truly deserve some highlighting instead! Standby for some of my recent favs, coming in the next few minutes!

Cooper loves the Parker Women!

I haven't blogged in over a month! Yikes!! I have so much catching up to do...not sure if I'll be able to, but I'll try.

OK, so tonight I just have to say that I love my little pup, he is such a NUT! Lately it's been a challenge to get him back in the studio after the "Duck Hunting" shoot. But NO PROBLEM apparently on this day...we had the shot set up, ready to click, and who runs in and plops right down, front and center!! You think maybe it's because it's all women?? He's no dummy... Oh well, at least he got the baby smiling! These are the Parkers, minus dad! I'll post more from this shoot later, with dad once he got there. It was so much fun. :)

Duck Hunting gets a blue ribbon!

Woohoo...! Tonight at the DPPA meeting, "Duck Hunting" took first place in the portrait category!! That's a first for me, and it was pretty exciting. :)
